Leadership concept in Africa

in Africa  if one should ask who should be the leader, most will say the oldest among  them should be the leader, or the the most surcessful within some group. in the old day the strongest should be the leader.the character of the chosen leader or his knowledge of leadership, or in managemnet, is not important in chosen to leader
The african concept of leadership, stems from our tradition and religion. in african tradition the first son was always the leader of the family, his moralish character or knowhow/ management quality was not put in considaration, he was the embodiment of the incestors, our religious beleive, sort of cemented this beleive
As capitalism came, wealth started to play an important role, of who you are in the society, the more money you have the more influence you had. what does leadership mean or who should be a leader is still a mystery in africa
