         The African continent has made great strides in reducing civil War or the number of violent conflicts . Simultaneously, however, the nature of security threats has substantially changed. This requires new regional and international responses to strengthening the security of African citizens
          The new threat to African stability, is safety and security. of its citizens and people visiting or wanting to working there. most people don't feel safe at home, intercity travel or going out late evening, and always scared of their their family. its has not only reduce the number of foreigner visiting Africa, even by its citizen base abroad but also hindered a lot of investment opportunities in the African continent
          The african Government most look inward, the root course of lack of security is poverty, unequal income distributionin the society. and neglect by the goverment. It is a vicious cicle of criminality in africa. Most politician are enriching themselves, while people are working for peasant salary and national wealth is not properly distributed. the poor, start comitting crime to afford a a better life. other see how he got rich over night, he too start comming crime. as justifation of their action

What are the  threats facing africa's stability

• kidnapping,  many  businesses  men and women  are kidnapped  every day for ransom,  some after  the money is paid  still  kill the  captured,  foreigners  are less willing  to travel  on holiday  to Africa..
•   Aimed robbery. Robbery  has increased in the last few year, from private homes/ businesses  to attacking  people  at cash machine. travellers in intercity  buses are stop and the occupant  dislodged  from  theirs  property.
•   Violent  attack  of citizens. landed  property  are violently taking  without  compensation, that sometimes end deadly.  or any action possible to destroy  business  competitors.
• Financial  fraud. financial  criminality have Increased In numbers,  methodology,  effectiveness  and efficiency in africa. Electronic banking fraud, Ponzi scheme, Internet fraud. using  modern technic and other  advance  system  and equipment  to releave people of their personal  property.
• Religious extremist. religious extremism has eaten deep into the fabric of the african society. The leaders are now trying to wag war against the logical, educated fact base way of thinking

Where are the state security apparatus.

         The first thing that comes to mind, is where are the police. It will unfair to heap the whole fault on the police force , all the same Transparency International 2013 reported, the police are perceived as the most corrupt institution in Africa. 36 countries of most corrupt police worldwide, 20 are in Africa. Such negative perceptions of police integrity are damaging to the credibility reputation and effectiveness of the police, this affects crime victims’ decision on whether to report crime to the police.
            Most African countries have a dis-functional police force, they don't finance, aquipment , training and tecnical knowhow to fight these deferent dimension of modern security threats. moreover most junior police officer believe it is not worth risking their life for the job without proper job security and wages. The africa criminal activity has mutated from a one man business to a well organised mafia style criminal organisation. with some police and government officials in their payroll. sometimes with international offices abroad.
