           In one of our travels In africa we met a guy , who was into ice cream business, we discussed about business in africa was dificult due to lack of infrastucture and he offered us even some free ice cream as his gest. the next time we visited africa the business was no more in exitsten, so we met him and ask what happened, he said, there was just too much power outage, that the business could no survive
          Inadequate infrastructure remains a major obstacle towards Africa achieving its full economic growth potential.Africa faces serious infrastructure gaps. For example, nearly 600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa lack access to grid electricity Infrastructure is one of the bigest problem in africa lack of growth for about 80% of the businesses,account for 40% of closure of businesses, and 30 percent why people cannor start a business
          infrastructure is one part of the system that must be constantly upgraded to be able to meet up with the speed and accuracy of a modern society and economy grow

Needed infrastruture for modern societies

         Infrastructure is the set of fundamental facilities and systems that support the sustainable functionality of households and firms. Serving a country, city, or other areas.

   • Energy supply: electrical energy, gas supply, district heating, filling station network
   • Public transport: seaports, rail, roads, airports. Road Safety equipment/ radio navigation transmitters for land, air and sea vehicles.

What is the reason for the situation in Africa

          The infrastructure planning, creation and maintenance of the most diverse infrastructures is in part seen as a task of the state or Government institutions, businesses and private persons depend in it to grow There is two main problems with the infrastructure service in Africa

1. Non existence or Insufficient infrastructure (e.g., roads, electricity, telecommunications access). Every productive economy need strong infrastructure networks. Infrastructure connects cities and countries together
2. Africa suffers from poor/substandard quality infrastructure and services compared to other parts of the world. The most distinct features in africa is the inferiority of their infrastructure. Due to corruption. spending huge sums of money on .building substandard structures and project that fail short of some prescribed norm. e.g roads and brieges, power supply and telecommunication

      Our research, is aimed at tickling the energy problem in three front.
The frist is alternative energy solution, for small businesses and households in africa, especially people living in remote area.
Secondly power storage system. Due serious interruption of power supply in africa. The ability to store power for unexpected loss of electricity is important in a lot of African cities and villages.
thirdly is research into use of low voltage consumption devices. and energy efficient equipment, as homes appliances and businesses equiptment in africa
